This project involved internal alterations and an extension to an existing shore side cottage across from Plockton. The original semi-detached house acted as the caretakers’ cottage for Duncraig Castle and was internally combined to provide a single family residence. The large front facing dining room and living room within the existing structrue is separated by a stove opening in both directions. The extension contains a new main entrance hall with stair and a large Kitchen and Utility Room on the ground floor and a landing and bedroom on the first floor.

The extension utilises traditional detailing and materials to match the existing dwelling. The existing high level stone boundary wall was also retained as a feature of the garden enclosure.
