Raasay House, Isle of RaasayThe comprehensive £3.5 million conservation of Raasay House came to an abrupt end in January 2009 when fire swept through the building leaving only a roofless shell and a smoke damaged West Wing. The building had been due for handover in a matter of days. In October 2009 work began on stabilising the shell in advance of a second major conservation due to end in 2011.
